So join me as I explore my own long road, from Maine to Antarctica to the UK, and most things inbetween. This blog is my ramblings from the daily life of a deep-sea biologist living as an alien in the USA, and a way to keep my family and friends in the loop that is my life without filling up everyones mailbox!

Happy US Mother's Day
To all out there, though particularly to Stian's mom - get well soon!
I am just catching up on blogs--how special to see this. You know that I had the most special of Mother's Days--just by being here and able to focus. I awke from a nap to clowers and a card on my hospital night table--how Carlo found these I have no idea.
I am lucky, lucky, lucky--and feel very much loved.
I agree totally with NEA about the 'mamma understanding'.
Welcome back to Land Rhian!!! Your journey was very fun to follow online via the ship cruise reports. Looks like you will be very busy analyzing all the stuff you were able to collect. Keep us posted on what you learn as we both find it very fascinating. DW
Thanks guys, it's good to be back and glad the censeam website was a hit - I always wonder as we don't get to see it when we're at sea, we just send text and pix and hope someone on the other end does a good job of putting it up.
