Feeling Awesome....

Oh yes.

Not one to blow my own trumpet, but I totally rocked my talk yesterday. Feeling so smug about it I actually slept well last night and have awoken refreshed! I had the keynote in the biology section, talked about my antarctic larvae experiments and brought the house down (if I do say so myself....).

I don't often come out of doing a talk feeling like that (I'm not sure I ever have in fact), I always feel relieved, but often don't feel great about the job that I did. Though there were some things I forgot to say (I was right up to my time limit), I still feel great about it. One of the best compliments i've had was from Les (of the Watling complex), who said that "it was a shame it wasn't a job talk, as I totally would have got the job!". Nice.

Onto day 4 and tonight is the conference dinner at the Te Papa museum, that should be fun. My only non-awesome feeling for the day is that I was hoping to see Stian tonight, but he's been delayed on the ice. Hopefully he'll get out today and i'll see him on friday. Crossing everything imaginable....
