New Mug

Just stopped by the glazing room and some of my things have been fired! So i'm now drinking out of my new 'at-sea' mug! I still need to sand and put no slip on the bottom, but I couldn't resist trying it out. Even holds a 'large' cup of coffee out of my new coffee machine. Woo hoo!

Oh my, you are so talented! I love the shape of the handle. It is absolutely and dramatically beautiful!

So i'm learning about handles. I've finally figured out how to roll without getting air in there (so no exploding pottery when fired!), now I have to perfect my handle. It does look good, but I've discovered that to be really comfortable to drink out of, the handle really has to be below the rim of the mug.

It's fun, I think I got my bowl making down, now time for Mugs!

I've just been using the studio, but am officially in a 6 class session at the end of May, so i'll be doing it on a more regular basis.

Love the mug shape! My favorite mugs are smaller at the top... it helps keep the drink hot too.
